A gold medalist in MBA and the youngest to be awarded a Doctorate in Management from Guwahati University in her times, Dr ( Mrs) Rituporna Raj ( May 10, 1967) - August 21, 2005) had been involved in management education and corporate training, as a faculty member and a management and behavioural trainer in three universities of India, and various management institutes and corporate training centres, in and outside the state, for the last 15 years of her short but productive life. Specially trained as a trainer by Thames Valley University, London, UK, Dr Raj had independently designed and conducted numerous training programmes for corporate executive. She had provided management consultancy to various corporate bodies, as an counselling to employees and had also provided behavioural & motivational counselling to employees and executive of many small business units to improve their productivity and profitability.
Apart from her corporate training , Dr Raj had also specialised in, and had in-depth experience in, understanding the psychology of youth, and in handling students' personality-related and behavioural problems, Dr Raj had counselled, motivated, trained and helped numerous youths to mould, redefine and develop their personalities- from a wide cross section of premier schools, colleges, youth club and institutions, both in and outside her state, Assam. Dr Raj wrote inspirational and motivational books for youth, with an aim to imparting education in an enjoyable way and instilling the right values and positive mental attitudes in the younger generation, along with character building.
