KIRAN REKHA BANERJI had a three-decade-long academic career where she taught science and chemistry at the secondary, high secondary and undergraduate levels at several institutes in India and the Middle East. She has also authored textbooks on science for both CBSE and ICSE curriculums. In November 2015, she retired as principal of a prestigious secondary school in Gurugram to pursue full-time writing and editing. She believes in instilling among children a 'scientific attitude' and this belief is her inspiration for writing a book series for young readers. NEERU VAJPAI has been involved in the field of education for more than twenty years. She has been a primary teacher for fourteen years. She was the coordinator for UKIERI (UK India Education Research Initiative) for two years and was sponsored by the British Council to visit affiliated schools in the UK in 2009, to interact and imbibe cross-cultural primary teaching methodologies. Over the last five years, she has been instrumental in making English tutorials for Jamaican and Philippine schools and also for Delhi schools up to grade 6.
