Pauline Formation and Studies

Juniorate

The juniorate corresponds to the period of temporary vows. The period of temporary profession lasts for five to nine years, with the vows renewed annually.

It is part of a single process that begins with novitiate, culminates in Perpetual Profession. Juniorate is a time in which the young professed, benefitting from the dynamism and stability deriving from profession. Continues the process of vocational maturation, deepens and integrates the formation of the novitiate, and experiences total dedication to God through full insertion in the life and mission of the institute. During the juniorate, with the help of the Juniors’ Directress the junior sister deepens her understanding of the nature of perpetual profession and live in the atmosphere of greater recollection and prayer, while engaged in the study and/or mission.

Formation

The formation of the Daughter of St Paul is not over with the perpetual or final profession. She continues to strain forward till ‘Christ is formed in her’. For this stage of formation, there is no fixed common programme.

Each one takes the responsibility of self-formation, asking for the help needed, like the possibility of attending some helpful courses. From time to time sessions are organized on various topics for all. Valuing the time for prayer, study, retreats and seminars, each sister strives to become the perfect image of Christ the Master.
